Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner to deliver goods to designated locations in San Jose and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate digital logbooks and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to operate standard and automatic transmission trucks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of map reading or GPS navigation systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
