Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional and over-the-road routes.
- Load and Secure Cargo: Properly load, secure, and verify freight to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain DOT Compliance: Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Customer Service: Deliver freight on time, handle billing paperwork accurately, and maintain a professional image at customer facilities.
- Maintenance & Safety: Report vehicle issues promptly and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License: Must hold a valid US CDL Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Documentation: Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and valid DOT physical.
- Endorsements: Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems effectively.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible schedules and be away from home for extended periods if required by route.
