Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to transport freight safely and efficiently across the region.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper securing.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS (Hours of Service) rules, and cargo securement.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be willing to travel and work varying shifts.
