Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safe driving practices to minimize risk and ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex delivery routes.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
