Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight on assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering goods in a professional and timely manner.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
