Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) adhering to all FMCSA and company safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring cargo integrity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to strict DOT compliance standards and traffic laws at all times.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state traffic laws.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Valid Medical Certificate (DOT Card) on hand.
