Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and schedules
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Complete electronic logging (ELD) and documentation accurately
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and route challenges
- Represent Delta Logistics professionally with customers at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility for early start times and occasional weekend work
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
