Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently within local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Devices - ELD) and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
- Professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
