Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct to maintain vehicle stability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company driving policies to minimize risk.
- Represent Pacific Coast Transport professionally while interacting with customers at delivery sites.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and physical certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
