Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers (dry van, reefers, or flatbed) in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance specifications to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Deliver freight on time to ensure customer satisfaction and meet service level agreements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding load status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Willingness to obtain necessary endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples) if required.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
