Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles to transport freight across assigned routes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Secure cargo properly and monitor weight and balance during loading.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a tractor-trailer environment.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours of service (HOS) rules.
- Ability to work independently and handle time management effectively.
