Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently from point A to point B.
- Maintain accurate logs and complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and inspection reports.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading procedures.
- Manage cargo loads to ensure stability and prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (Otr or Local).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT Drug Screen.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
