Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations within the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all materials are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card and valid DOT physical on file.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and hazardous material handling (if applicable).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
