Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A truck and 53-foot trailer on local routes within Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience (local driving preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Reliable work history and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
