Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delivery issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and FMCSA regulations.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
