Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to transport freight across the Charlotte region and beyond.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
