Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for local and regional routes within Maryland and surrounding states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and required documentation (medical card, etc.)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat materials handling (preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of Maryland roadways and traffic regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
