Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight within the Milwaukee metro area and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Document delivery paperwork and resolve any shipment discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Milwaukee-area highways and delivery routes
- Strong attention to safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
