Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on designated delivery routes within the Washington DC metro area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring accuracy and security of shipments.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Interact professionally with customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with the Washington DC traffic patterns and geography.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual handling tasks.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
