Responsibilities
- Execute safe and timely delivery of freight to designated customer locations within the Portland metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck is in top condition before and after each shift.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and electronic logging device (ELD) logs.
- Lift and load cargo safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with customers and the public.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions (if applicable).
- Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
