Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to meet delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety compliance.
- Secure cargo properly and complete necessary delivery documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes and delivery status.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and minor mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
