Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in top condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and handling freight with care.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at every stop.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and geographic routes in the San Francisco Bay Area.
