Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe, legal, and professional manner across all assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service (HOS) using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to DOT regulations.
- Navigate complex roadways in the Los Angeles metropolitan area efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
