Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within Arizona and surrounding states.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to all safety protocols and weight regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records, ensuring full compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and issues.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Arizona.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience (hazmat or tanker preferred but not required).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as per company policy.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
