Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and cargo securement best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel regionally and potentially long-haul.
