Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner on various road types.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securing of freight.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required documentation for compliance.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure passenger and cargo safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic knowledge of trucking regulations, safety laws, and traffic procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work varied shifts and occasional overtime as required.
