Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate vocational trucks on local and regional routes within the Portland metro area.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo using straps, chains, and binders according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery manifests.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI within last 7 years).
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of weight and balance for cargo securement.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks.
