Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently during night shift hours.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documents.
- Navigate the Washington DC metropolitan area, including bridges and tunnels, utilizing GPS systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and insurability.
- Strong knowledge of DC area traffic patterns and road restrictions.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
