Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects and reporting them immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and address any route changes or issues.
- Keep the company vehicle and equipment clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
