Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Safely transport cargo to designated delivery points within the Raleigh area and beyond.
- Load and unload freight securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience (recent graduates with sponsorships may be considered).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road conditions.
- Willingness to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
