Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for overnight regional and OTR deliveries.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety.
- Load and secure cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and tie-downs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the company vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Availability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and cargo handling.
- Familiarity with dispatch software and electronic logging devices.
