Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on designated routes within Indianapolis and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of freight to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and ensure all delivery paperwork is completed correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions, delivery delays, or vehicle issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a drug screen.
- Must be willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
