Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver cargo to designated locations on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10pm - 7am or similar).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance and vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
