Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles (Class A) on highways and local routes within the NY metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo while ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and ensure on-time delivery schedules.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of air brakes and defensive driving techniques.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
