Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks in a safe, legal, and professional manner at all times, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Cargo Handling: Load, secure, and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and required paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatch, customers, and team members throughout the shift.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety protocols, and company procedures.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Documentation: Current Medical Card and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
