Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight to local and regional destinations efficiently.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs.
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service at each delivery stop, managing all paperwork and signatures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred, but Entry-Level training provided for qualified candidates.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong understanding of road safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
