As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the East Coast while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on local and interstate routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring no damage to freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Virginia.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of HOS (Hours of Service) regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
