Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently operate Class A trucks to deliver freight to various locations within and around the Atlanta, IL area.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load & Unload: Secure cargo properly and assist in loading and unloading trailers as required by the shift schedule.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and fuel consumption in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal regulations to ensure a clean driving record.
- Customer Service: Represent our company professionally while interacting with customers and maintaining a positive image.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must possess a valid US Commercial Driver's License (Class A).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than one minor moving violation in the past 3 years (DOT compliant).
- Medical Card: Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one prior to driving solo).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
