Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the equipment.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic dispatch paperwork in compliance with company policies.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while managing time effectively to meet customer deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the required endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker preferred but not required).
- A minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation systems.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical duties related to loading/unloading.
