Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in a professional and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight according to safety standards.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and submit accurate logs (DOT/HOS).
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pick-up and delivery stops.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Massachusetts.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Physical.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Pass a thorough background check (MVR, drug screen, and criminal history).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and safety regulations.
