As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting goods across state lines and locally, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on highways and local routes within New York and surrounding states.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all trips, including Hours of Service (HOS).
- Provide exceptional customer service during pick-up and delivery operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams regarding traffic, weather, or delivery delays.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and safety protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices and navigation systems.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
