Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading, ensuring security and proper placement.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and cleanliness checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
