Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all weight distribution and tie-down procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, and potential delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of the driver, the public, and the cargo.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) free of major violations.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally long-haul.
