Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is handled with care and documented accurately.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Conduct regular vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Dual endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat) are a plus but not required.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or serious moving violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
