Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in compliance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documentation.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route updates and delivery schedules.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills during deliveries.
- Adhere to strict Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to ensure driver safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and safety procedures.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
