Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition across the Seattle metro area and surrounding regions.
- Cargo Handling: Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution and safety compliance at all times.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately to maintain fleet safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Customer Service: Uphold a professional image when interacting with shippers, receivers, and the public, resolving any delivery concerns efficiently.
- Route Planning: Navigate effectively using GPS systems and adhere to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat preferred but not always required).
- Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb in and out of the cab, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and comprehend maps and delivery orders.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varied schedules, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
