Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary paperwork in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (hazmat or tanker experience preferred but not required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and documentation.
