Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe, legal, and defensive manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Ohio.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (Preferred).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
