Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks in various weather and road conditions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring secure placement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and adhere strictly to DOT regulations and hours of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid State Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
