Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) compliant with federal laws.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and cargo at all times while operating the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
